El Carmen, QC and Cupping Lab

Following the procurement of a space for the El Carmen QC and Cupping Lab, the space has now been refurbished, and can now begin the process of being kitted out to serve as a hub for the community. All of the equipment that will eventually sit in the lab has now been purchased, and will soon be installed.

This Red Associations hub once complete will serve as an education space, sharing knowledge from across the value chain between producers, and also between the Red Associations roaster members who visit each year. Producers will be able to cup their coffees and learn about the ways in which their produce is discussed once it begins its journey through the marketplace, as well as being part of the conversation when the price of their harvest is deliberated.
