We just flew past the $20,000 mark for the Timor-Leste Urgent Appeal!
What has been provided so far, and what is to come?
In April, floods and landslides left over 14,000 people homeless. The floods ripped apart vital roads, which has impeded the movement of coffee and access to remote coffee-producing villages. Thanks to the incredible support of the coffee community, we have been able to provide emergency kits to many of those in immediate need of aid.

Where have we been able to support communities?
We have refined our scope through interviews with leaders in each of the 57 villages across Ermera. We continue to work with our network of coffee processing centres, village chiefs, local police forces, and district administrators to gather data on the damage, continuously updating the picture of the damage in these remote coffee-growing regions.
We continue to deliver packs to communities. So far, we have delivered 171 emergency response kits to those in need of essentials, the building blocks of aid that ensured those hit could sustain their families.

“My campaign is still running, what will happen to what we have generated?”
Because many of you are continuing to raise money for the appeal, it has already allowed us to begin work on phase two, rebuilding. Pushing us past our initial target of 20,000 USD has meant roads are already under construction. We really can’t thank you enough. Your overwhelming support is allowing coffee communities to get back on track. The Timor-Leste coffee harvest is in full swing, meaning the rebuilding of transport routes is essential.
Every single coffee purchased by your customers is making this a reality.
